"Birthing at Armadale"

About: Armadale Hospital / Birth Suite (and Antenatal Assessment Unit)

(as the patient),

We recently had our second baby at Armadale maternity unit.

We are absolutely blown away by the difference between the care we got in comparison to a very long and traumatic birth with our first child.

The midwife Michelle in the pre-labour area was an angel sent to us from above. She met us with a smile, took us to a room, explained everything she was doing, answered all our silly questions and never made us feel like we wasted her time and so much of that trauma from my first early labour was forgotten. Thanks to her we felt strong enough to ask questions to the OBGYN with her present and we felt we had power over what we wanted to do next.

The labour was quick after that and I never really got the name of the person who we had in labour suite on shift after her, but I cannot fault her care at all - she was efficient and kind.

Also wanted to add a shout out to Sue, Jess and Kendra. This was the most successful breastfeeding start I've ever had, I felt so empowered leaving the hospital and so happy with the care.

Also the lady on the front desk who always met us with a smile. From reception, to cleaners, to midwives and doctors. You truly are the best hospital in WA

Dear cafewx39

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt feedback. I am absolutely thrilled to hear that your experience with us was so positive, especially after the challenges of your first birth. It’s wonderful to know that Michelle, along with the rest of our team, was able to provide the support, care, and comfort you needed during such an important time.

I am also happy to hear that your breastfeeding journey got off to a great start, and that the care from Sue, Jess, and Kendra empowered you. Your words truly mean a lot to us, and I will make sure to pass on your appreciation to everyone mentioned.

We’re honoured to have been a part of this experience with you and your growing family, and we wish you all the best as you continue on this new chapter.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your story.

Sincerely

Alisha Thompson
