"An appointment with the doctor"

About: Swan Hill District Health Medical Centre

(as the patient),

Due to a history of foot pain, I visited the Clinic on recently to gain another referral and a medical certificate. I was asked about the history of my condition and I recall the doctor continued to speak over me. Told me it was plantar fasciitis (it's not as my scans are completely normal). Which I believe they would have observed if they were half interested in looking at my medical notes.

I recall the doctor refused to read my history on the computer and refused to acknowledge any pain medication (have not asked for it until this appointment). I wanted to push for an angiogram and they refused that without consulting as to why.

After explaining that I desperately need another referral, they printed off what I believe is a half-a***d referral and opened the door whilst i was still talking to kick me out. Instead of them being able to gather my data and sending my referral through to the referrals receptionist they left me to chase my scans and sort it myself.

Trying to explain my pain and what I've been trying to manage the last 2 years I just kept getting told no! Absolutely unprofessional and no duty of care what so ever in my opinion! These appointments cost time, money and travel and its truly disheartening to be treated like a number and unheard.
