A massive thank you for the outstanding service provided by the Feeding Team through Geraldton Hospital, who have been seeing my son for Cow Milk Protein Allergy. A special thank you to Temika and Corrina. These dieticians were friendly and approachable and provided outstanding advice to help us navigate feeding concerns.
A couple of things that I felt could have been done better: self referral to the service was difficult, I believe the Population Health website could have information about referrals (and the referral form) to make this service more accessible for the community. My other constructive feedback pertains to the clinic room/setting. I had to get on the ground on a child play mat to undress my baby for weigh ins and the room had a carpeted floor. In my opinion, ideally the room would not have carpet for infection control and a bench would be provided for health, safety and cleanliness when babies are required to be undressed. These babies are potentially vulnerable to infections/illness.
All in all, a had a very positive experience.
