Midday recently my elderly parent presented to emergency room with very swollen hand and sore shoulder.
was referred to ultrasound for both as there was an abscess on their hand and a fall the previous week was still causing pain in their shoulder.
we were given 2 referrals for ultrasounds
my parent made a booking that day, was told someone would call him the next day
received call aprox 10.40am to advise earliest app available was 3 weeks away! 3 weeks for an elderly person to be in pain?
i rang Margaret River Apex to see if i could get one sooner.
rang 3 times went straight to on hold, waited 5 minutes each time, spoke to no one.
then rang the xray dep at Margaret River and spoke to Brendan.
he was amazing!. cannot speak highly enough of his service, attention, care, sympathy and understanding that an elderly patient cannot wait 3 weeks for an ultrasound. Brendan advised he would get the ultrasound dept to call me.
which they did within next hour.
they then advised they could shuffle some appointments around and 2 separate apps could be made within days in the afternoon.
i advised this would be great.
waiting still on a call to confirm apps............
the point of this is to advise of Brendan extremely fabulous service and phone manner. we need more like him.
