(as the patient),

I recently completed the Nana Muru day program through Lives Lived Well.

I have nothing but gratitude, admiration and respect for the wonderful program Stephen and Maddi ran throughout the 4 weeks.

The conversations, open forum and ability to bounce off not only Stephen and Maddi, but also other participants in the program, was invaluable. 

Each unit within the program sparked a very intelligent, inclusive and insightful conversation. I felt as though I was learning every step of the way. 

As an alcoholic who at times feels lost with no answers or unsure what to do next to ensure I don’t drink, I genuinely felt as though I got tangible methods to use to keep me away from alcohol. 

I really enjoyed my time there, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with addiction. 

I felt heard, seen and listened to.

Thank you Stephen and Maddi! You’re the best.

Dear Jaroski,

It is wonderful to read how you felt heard and understood. I've passed on your kind words to the team at Nana Muru and I'm sure they will feel great when they read your story. It's also great to read that the other participants helped make the day program so good.

It's encouraging that you learnt so much about yourself and gained valuable tools to manage your triggers. Taking the first step and showing up is often the hardest part of treatment - and you have managed to do that, attend for 4 weeks and reap the rewards. Congratulate yourself and keep up the good work.
