I fell in town and did not want to go to ED but my better half insisted, the triage nurse who I didn’t get her name was so kind and organised pain relief for me while I waited for an x-ray which made me feel less silly for attending and was so appreciated given how busy they looked.
Dr Katherine then came out into the wait room to check in on me and get my process started and continued to engage with me even when she probably didn’t have to. She was so thorough for something that felt quite insignificant compared to other patients being treated also doing tasks that could have easily been given to someone else.
The wait room nurse I think George was polite and told me how to escalate if anything changed and the PSA who escorted me to XRAY was kind and helped me beyond the task of just a transfer.
I felt heard and respected in a presentation I really didn’t feel was worthy of ED but needed and got more than I anticipated both in the way I was treated and a cam boot with crutches!
