"My sibling's care at the hospital"

My sibling was showing signs of lethargy, pain and confusion and just generally not well. Their ex-spouse was about to take them for their scheduled doctor's appointment, however, called an ambulance instead.

I don't know if they were assessed by a doctor when taken in. Two hours later my sibling was given Endone (oxycodone) and discharged. When friends called in to see my sibling at home the next day, they were showing signs of delirium and lethargy once again, only more pronounced.

An ambulance was called and my sibling was back at Hervey Bay hospital. This time it was discovered that they were dehydrated and that their kidneys were shutting down and they may need dialysis. Given IV fluids and antibiotics. Kidneys stabilized. I was then told that they had a urinary tract infection. Then I was told that they required a blood transfusion.

When I asked where the bleed was coming from, no one could tell me. My sibling is anemic was the response. Why? The latest is that my sibling has hypoxia. Does anyone in this hospital have a clue what the underlying issue is?

Last year this same sibling was admitted to this hospital, sent home and a day later admitted again and, yes, you guessed it sent home. Two days later they collapsed in their local shopping centre and was once again taken by ambulance to Hervey Bay Hospital. They still had no idea what was wrong, and so they were then airlifted to RBH in Brisbane.

My sibling had a blocked artery to their bowel, almost died, and consequently now has to live with a Stoma bag. This time around I, as their next of kin contact, have spoken to 5 different doctors, 3 in the ICU and 2 in the ward. They are now talking about sending my sibling home again. Still no definitive diagnosis of what the underlying issue is.

I live in Brisbane and just spent 3 days in Hervey Bay at my sibling's apartment cleaning faecis of surfaces and bathroom and throwing away bedding. They are not taking care of themself. They say they did a CT scan to check for blocked arteries, but although there is some blockage I believe medical staff don't see it as a problem.

Do a damn MRI and get to the root of the problem.

My worry is that my sibling has a blockage to their brain, as they are so not themself in any way. I am worried that they will do a bandaid job, send my sibling home and they may die. I have told the doctor at the hospital that if my sibling discharged and ends up back at, that so-called, hospital that I want them transported to Brisbane RBH immediately.

It seems to me that no one at this hospital I've encountered communicates.

Don't get me started on the parking fiasco. There is none during the week. In my opinion, this hospital should be shut down for many reasons or else given an influx of funds to bring it out of its current status.
