"Waiting at urgent care"

About: Leongatha Memorial Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I was advised by a local Medical Centre to attend here recently because they did not have any appointments or a duty doctor that day. I was suffering abdominal pain. I had not eaten the night before or that morning. I went to urgent care, filled out the paperwork, and told to wait. After 5 hours I decided to go home in disgust.

I understand how triage works and those most in need are seen in order. If someone had of appeared from the office and kept the waiting room updated with the wait time I believe I could have gone home or made other arrangements.

I feel that not everyone in that waiting was in need of "urgent" care anyway'
