"Mistreated"

About: Bundaberg Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Recently, I was taken to the Bundaberg base hospital after I had touched a poison in which gave a slight reaction, upon arrival i informed the ambulance staff that I had an infection of hookworm, which a doctor had previously diagnosed and prescribed medication for, once at the Bundaberg base hospital i was places in a room where I was alone. The room was beyond cold, I asked many times for a blanket. My requests were ignored leaving me in a state of chattering teeth freezing.

By morning I was so cold I could barely move. Then finally a nurse moved me to a triage bed to where I was met by a doctor with 3 very large security guards stating that there were no parasites or hookworms and that i was delusional. I stated that I had already been diagnosed and received medicine for the hookworms and showed many photos that my spouse and had documented, this seemingly meant nothing.

I recall the 3 security guards then forced me down while I was injection. I was then moved to a prison style room where I was locked away. My spouse tried many attempts to get through, every attempt was met with we don't know where your spouse is, after waking i was treated terribly for 2 days till I believe the staff realised I was telling the truth.

Even still saying we are only nurses we can't authorise your release and told i would have to wait for the following week to be assessed by the doctor who put me in here, at which point I called Ryan's rule.
