"Excellent antenatal care through MGP4"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I received antenatal care through MGP4 for my first pregnancy in 2024. I experienced a wonderful, holistic model of care and felt so unbelievably supported throughout my pregnancy. I felt listened to, respected and valued and cannot fault the care we received from Chloe (MGP4) who went above and beyond for us and we navigated a GDM diagnosis, hospital policy and a labour/ birth that didn't progress as planned. We were also lucky enough to be cared for by Ginny (MGP5) and our CCE student midwife Natalie during labour and received excellent post natal care at home from other members of MGP4 (Kailey, Emma and Eloise).

I strongly feel that without access to the MGP and continuity of care, our perinatal journey would have looked very different. My husband and I are are so grateful to everyone who was involved in our care and credit the MGP with how relaxed, supported and safe we both felt throughout our experience. I sincerely hope that this program is expanded and continues to include more women of all shapes, sizes, with differing comorbidities and presentations.

A massive thank you to the wonderful MGP midwives and the KEMH staff that made our experience so fantastic.

Dear humanitieswf33,

Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback, and congratulations on the birth of your baby. It sounds like you had an incredibly supportive and positive journey with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) 4 team at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH). It's wonderful to hear how Chloe, Ginny, Natalie, Kailey, Emma, and Eloise made such a significant impact on your pregnancy and postnatal care. Your appreciation for their dedication and care really shines through, and your story is a testament to the positive impact that continuity of care can have on the perinatal experience.

We will be sure to pass your feedback to the MGP team. They truly are remarkable, and your gratitude towards them is beautifully expressed.

Kind regards
Delaney
