I was a patient at Armadale Hospital recently for minor surgery.
23 hours unit nurses are very good to me, they treat me like a human not a number.
I was sent to discharge lounge early in the morning.Staff transferred me there by wheelchair was a very gentle lady.
When I arrived to the tiny but cosy discharge area, with relax music on, nurse Lisa looked into my eyes, smile to me, before she introduced herself, she asked how I feel, she checked my name, and other details make sure I am the right patient. The other staff there offered me a cuppa, and cookie. I really like those human touches, they treated me with respect and care.
Surgical doctor was professional and well mannered, he came down to talk to me, answer every questions I asked patiently.
Pharmacist was very kind as well, she explained every kind of medication to me politely.
I got all documents I needed promptly. Thanks for all your help.
Nothing was too much trouble but I heard other patients ask lots of questions in discharge area, and you all did this with the smile on your faces.
All Armadale Hospital staffs are very kind and caring. A big thank you to you all. Much appreciated.
The only suggestion that I would make, it will be handy if there is a disabled toilet next to the discharge area. Thank you again.
"Big thank you for you all!"
