"Care in ED after recent fall"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Emergency Department Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Medical Imaging

(as the patient),

I went to ED just after Christmas holiday season as I couldn't get into a GP. I didn't want to burden the hospital staff, but I had fallen and had some significant bruising over my face and had a bad headache for a few days.

I just wanted to say from the time I met the nurses Kirsten at Triage, to Darren in ED, DR Keng NG through to the Radiographer who did my scan,; I felt my concerns were met with empathy and professionalism. I am very grateful to the high standard of care I received and wanted to say a huge thank you to these staff, who to them, I believe would probably just say they were doing their job but to me made me feel like the most important person they were caring for that day. Thank you!

Dear dancemj46,

Thank you so much for reaching out to tell us about your experience. Please know you can always present to our ED but I appreciate that you thought to seek a GP appointment in the first instance if possible. I will be very happy to pass your kind words of thanks to our team members and recognise them through our staff acknowledgement process - I agree they do a wonderful job!

I hope you are now on the mend.

Kind regards Alicia
