A Busselton Hospital recently during the busy part of the day, just before Christmas. I was extremely impressed with the new system for directing patients to the extended ED care area.

The experience was stress-free, and the staff appeared less stressed and more able to focus on their roles. They were attentive, caring, and efficient, which made a noticeable difference compared to past visits.

Thank you for implementing these much-needed changes. It created a much more comfortable experience. Wishing you all a safe and wonderful festive season!

Dear correspondencexs34,

I am so glad that you had a positive experience in our Emergency Department Ambulatory Care clinic. We started this initiative last year due to the increasing presentations at this time of the year and ran it at Christmas and Easter. We have found that it helps to speed up consultations with the Doctor and Nurse Practitioner allocated to that area and also decompress the ED waiting room. It definitely reduces stress levels with patients and staff.

It is good to hear that you had a comfortable experience. I will ensure that your response is shared with the ED staff.
