About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as the patient),

I chose to give birth at the King Edward Memorial Family Birth Centre for my second child. It was a great experience. I felt cared for, well informed and at ease. From having a wonderful midwife who put her heart and soul into her work, to the most beautiful birth experience, it almost makes me want to have another child just to go there again (definitely not having more than two). The whole centre feels more like home than a hospital and based on my experience, I cannot itterate enough how calm and ready you feel when you're there. Mimi my midwife was by far the highlight, she provided outstanding care, demonstrated  knowledge and skills of the highest level and showed great empathy and kindness.

I’m so pleased to hear about the excellent care you received from Mimi, your midwife at the King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) Family Birth Centre (FBC). It's heartening to know that you felt so well cared for and comfortable in such a home-like environment. Mimi clearly made a significant difference with her exceptional dedication, knowledge, and empathy.
