I applied to the CMP when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and luckily got a spot. This meant I saw the same midwife throughout my pregnancy. This continuity of care was incredible.
Mary-Ann the midwife I was allocated to is everything any health professional should strive to be caring, organised, knowledgeable and presents evidence based information which enables you to make informed decisions.
Mary-Ann and a second midwife Sue-Anne attended my birth in the Kalamunda birthing room. It was like being in a home away from home and with the support of my amazing midwifes I had the birth of my dreams.
Realistically I think everyone giving birth should have access to a program like this but until that becomes possible I feel programs like this deserve more funding and recognition!
Amazing work to all involved in my care with CMP.
