"Care and support following fall causing fracture"

About: Jurien Bay Health Centre

(as the patient),

I had a fall at my home and injured my ankle, after icing injury I realised that the damage was more severe than a strain, I rang the Jurien Bay Health Centre and spoke with CN Cynthia who advised to present for review.

Attended 1 hour later with help of my neighbor as was unable to drive.

Cynthia triaged me and assessed injury sending documentation to ETS. Xray attened showing Avulsion fracture, spoke to Dr who informed me the requirement for moon boot and further GP referral. As was change of shift the night nurse Valerie reinforced Drs instruction and put on moonboot for me and gave me support and instructions on using crutches.

Both nurses were very professional and supportive. I am very appeciative of the service that is offered by JBHC

Dear nakedeagle,

Thank you for your lovely story and kind words about your experience at Jurien Bay Health Centre. We have passed your feedback on to Cynthia and Valerie, who were very pleased to receive such praise.

We hope that you are recovering well and not finding the moonboot too uncomfortable.

Warm Regards

Rachael Lamp
