"Emergency services"

About: Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

One of the staff member misbehave with me, I recall they said if they gonna admit me am I going to refuse them and go home? I don’t know why they ask me that question. I have just asked them how long is the wait ? I felt they were a bit rude and you can’t behave like that with patient in emergency. I understand there should me more serious patients before me and they deserve priority. I have been diagnosed with kidney stone this week and was in really bad pain from 3 days. Sorry to say I’m also not happy with that they put me on triage 4.

I hope they can assess the situation more better.

I don’t complain usually but I have notice very unusual things this time.

Thank you for your time.

Dear whisperqn73

Thank you for getting in touch.

I am sad that you felt our staff were a bit rude to you particularly given the really bad pain from your kidney stone.

Please may I apologise for this to you as we always aim to provide excellent care.

So we can investigate matters further, including our triage process decision, may I encourage you to contact us via the Consumer Liaison Service on (08) 9391 1153 or by email to AKG_ConsumerLiaison@health.wa.gov.au

Kind Regards

Neil Cowan
