"Albany Emergency Department and fantastic staff"

About: Albany Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had reason to visit the Albany Ed recently at about 2300.

I noted some of the changes that had been made since my last visit which was fantastic.

The treatment that I received from the Drs and Nurses Monday night and Tuesday was fantastic. The 2 nurses that looked after me Monday evening were so friendly and caring. The young Dr was amazing and she kept me up to date with what was going on. Unfortunately I can not remember their names.

On the Tuesday morning my care was taken over by Kelly, who also was incredible, I could hear her with other patients and staff on the ward helping out and just doing a great job. I met Will, the ED Dr who I can say was probably one of the best Drs I have come across. He clearly explained everything, was caring and knew his stuff. I really appreciated his efforts and the other Dr Sam and the nurse Georgia in the Resus bay.

A big shoutout to the lovely Patient Care staff who wheeled me around, the lovely lady who took me back from the Xray was very nice. The young man who was making beds, cups of tea, cleaning, delivering meals, you made my day with the cups of tea and willingness to make my stay more pleasant.

I can honestly say, that the care and facilities there are terrific, after having recently spent 4 days in a metropolitan hospital waiting for my father to pass away and seeing the conditions some of the staff and patients had to put up with, we are very lucky in Albany

Thank you to you all the staff who did an excellent job....

Dear lyracc34

Sorry to hear that you had to return to our emergency department. It's heartwarming to hear about the fantastic care you received from our dedicated doctors, nurses and support staff. Your kind words about the friendly and caring staff highlight their commitment to delivering safe and high quality patient care.

Thank you, also, for noticing the changes we have already made to the triage area to improve patient confidentiality following your earlier feedback.

We have shared your post with the ED team as well as the Health Campus’s leadership team.

Thank you again for taking the time to acknowledge everyone’s efforts. It’s always a pleasure to be able to recognise our teams.

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.
