"Injection for Bursitis in Shoulder"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Kalgoorlie Outpatient Clinic

(as the patient),

My procedure was at the Kalgoorlie Health Campus. I presented to the KHC for an injection for a damaged Bursar in my left shoulder.

I had a good result from the procedure of an injection to my left shoulder, for Bursitis, following a fall.

Both the EN and the person who did the procedure. Very informative , always clear in what was to happen.

I had heard of a painful experience and a painless experience. mine was one of the latter.

I also knew there was a delay in the pain relief and how long it may take to work fully.

I was the Consumer on this occasion.

Dear Keizh45

Thank you for telling us about your experience in receiving care from our radiology team. I am so happy to hear that the staff kept you informed. I too have heard of times this type of procedure can be painful. I am very pleased to hear that yours was painless!

I note you mentioned that you had a fall. I don't know what caused this, but please be sure to talk to your GP or health care provider about checks and treatments that might help to prevent further falls. This might include some tests, changes to your medication or linking you in with some community exercise groups. I hope you are now on the mend. Please remember to follow all the post-procedure guidelines and reach out to us on GSEGCG@health.wa.gov.au if we can support you further.

Kind regards Alicia
