About: Meekatharra Hospital

(as a service user),

Had to stop in at the Meekatharra hospital while travelling through. Just wanted to comment how beautiful the lawn and garden is. It’s lovely to see how much care goes in to making an old hospital look as lovely as it can be. I saw the maintenance man as he was working and wished I’d stopped and told him so. Well Done, it looks wonderful.

I think there could be more shaded areas, more privacy/spaced in the treatment areas and more culturally appropriate artwork. I was a quick visit and I'm glad I came.

I was delighted to read how beautiful you found the lawn and garden areas at Meekatharra Hospital. Bryn, our Maintenance Officer, has achieved fantastic results at the health service in a short period of time. He takes great pride in maintaining the Health Campus and has transformed the gardens into the welcoming space you found. I will ensure that Bryn is provided with your kind words.

I thank you for alerting us to the areas you believe we can improve and assure you we shall look to improve the environment for our consumers and their families. There is an ongoing project to source some local culturally appropriate artwork and hopefully the next time you are at the hospital this will be in place.
