I recently called Cockburn Dental Clinic to find out where I was on the waitlist as I had completed and handed my forms to the clinic back in August 2023. After taking down all my details the lady at the desk, who's name is Chloe, couldn't find my details on the system. I went on to explain how I had just lost a veneer and a front tooth at that, how petrified I am of the dentist and I told her how hard it is at this time of year being a single parent and that I didn't have private health insurance.
Chloe asked me to come and fill out a form and she will have a look once I've filled it in and she has a copy of my health care card. I went into Cockburn Dental Clinic and was greeted by Chloe who was very calm and reassuring that it was going to be OK. Chloe looked in the system again and there was no record but as I had been on the waitlist (well I thought I had been) since August 2023, Chloe processed my form and back dated it as far back as she could which allowed me to be seen a lot sooner.
This may not be a big thing to many people but to me, Chloe's customer service, her calm demeanour and her understanding as well as her help was something that meant a lot to me. At a fragile time, Chloe made me feel like everything was OK and sometimes that's hard to see in those moments. Whilst filling out the paperwork, I observed her with other patients and she was just the same. Chloe's customer assistance/ help is something you don't see very often these days. I often feel people are quick to complain but never quick to compliment. I'm very happy with everything she did for me today.
