Going into this pregnancy journey for the third time I knew what to expect but I was also still afraid due to my previous experience, I was diagnosed with GDM at 28 weeks and then was referred to AMGP for all my future appointments.
I absolutely can not fault anything the midwives did, I loved the idea of having one midwife see me every appointment and not have to explain everything all over again, it felt comfortable, safe, happy and made my excited for my third baby girl. My midwife I had was truely incredible an always made sure I was comfortable and okay at every appointment even answering calls and messages after hours when I was insure of something, the level of care and compassion I received while with the program was truely incredible.
During the birth of my baby things took a wild turn and resulted in my baby being thankfully safely delivered but down in theatre, the student midwife I had at that time from AMGP was amazing, she was extremely supportive and attentive to everything, she was always communicating what was happening with me and baby, she held my hand the entire time as I was absolutely petrified and even went so far to take pictures for my ex partner and myself.
This program and the staff I saw were definitely amazing and based on my experience I do 100% feel we need more programs like this one.
