"Treatment for Grand Retina Vein Inclusion"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I was on a trial of a drug for Grand Retina Vein Inclusion. There was not placebo just different dosages of the same drug injected monthly over a 14 month period.
The trial took up half a day once a month and i didn’t work or drive for the rest of the day.
In return for my commitment I received treatment from the same team ,less waiting time and excellent monitoring.
I felt privileged to have such good treatment.

Dear Semi retired,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience being involved in a Clinical Trial conducted at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital.

Patients participating in our research studies and clinical trials assists us to find better, more effective treatments. More importantly, it empowers patients to be well-informed of their diagnosis and condition(s) and engaged in their treatment plans. Our patients can have excellent outcomes through the clinical trials unit if this is done well.

The most rewarding experience for our team is hearing that found the experience beneficial.

We really appreciate you sharing your experience to the wider community through Care Opinion. I would like to express our gratitude on behalf of the hospital and university for the kind words.

Kind regards,

Dr Pauline Rumma

Director of Clinical Service
