I am so grateful to have had care from the AMGP at King Eddies and my amazing midwife who supported myself and my partner through birth. 

This was my first baby and as a first time mum who had gestational diabetes I had so many questions and was quite stressed about giving birth. My midwife Tamara was an absolute gem and helped navigate every question/query/worry that I had. She helped us all the way through labour/birth and post birth coming to visit at home for the first two weeks. 

The AGMP is a wonderful program and I would recommend to anyone who is expecting. I definitely will be requesting to go through their program for my next baby!

Congratulations on your new addition to the family! It sounds like you had an incredible experience with the Aboriginal Midwifery Group Practice (AMGP) at King Edward Memorial Hospital! It's wonderful to hear how supportive and attentive Tamara was, and how much this meant to you.

You've beautifully highlighted the benefits of the AMGP, including how it allows women and their primary midwife to build trust and a positive rapport. Having someone who can guide you through such a significant life event makes all the difference, especially as a first time mum with gestational diabetes. We will be pleased to share your feedback with Tamara and let her know the positive impact she had on you. It's great to hear that you'll be requesting the AMGP services again for your next baby!
