"Lack of communication"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / General Outpatient Clinics

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Bunbury regional hospital in September for IV antibiotics and spent a week in hospital. A CT angiogram was attempted but my renal failure nation was not adequate to be given any iv contrast. I’ve since had this done as an outpatient at FSH over a week ago with view to an angioplasty on my right leg and to decide the best access point to achieve this. I was told that I would be contacted this week with the report and the plan, which didn’t happen.

I have a necrotic vascular ulcer on my middle toe which might possibly heal if perfusion is restored, but the longer this is delayed the less likely that becomes and amputation becomes more likely.

I’d like to see an outcome and be able to return to work. I still have my PICC insitu and am unable to wear suitable footwear to attend work as an anaesthetic technician in the operating room, due to the infection risk.
