I just want to tell you your nurse named Lisa who work in Discharge Lounge in Armadale Hospital take real good care of me, she is very kind to be first nation old lady like me, she is very polite to me, treat me very respectfully.
Being an older Aboriginal women who with not much support in the community, normally I don't ask for more, as I don't want to bother others. But Lisa exceed my expectation from a government hospital, cause not every staffs treat first nation patient right, do you know what I mean?
I asked Lisa for a lot of stuffs, like when can I get my doctor letter, can I got my regular medicine repeat script from hospital, can I have hot food for lunch, how can I go home if no one going to pick me up, etc. She listened to me in a clam and gentle manner, catering to what I need. She called someone to bring hot meal to me which is amazing especially on a cold day, I love the dessert. Also she talked to doctor to get everything I needed, as I can't afford to go to gp that week to refill my script. She give me extra sandwich to take home for dinner after she hear my story, as a poor pensioner sometimes when I have no money I just go without dinner few nights a week, life is hard.
She get me a taxi and it is paid by the hospital to take me home as I live alone. She took all my belongings to taxi for me, I will never forget her kindness toward me. No Hopefully I won't go back to hospital soon. Thank you God.
