"Spontaneous vaginal birth - midwifery group practice"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I birthed my two children through Family Birth Centre with midwifery led care. Tarnee and the team were warm and welcoming from the very first appt. I felt respected, comfortable, and safe with them through all the antenatal appts and my birth. Tarnee was knowledgeable, she knew her research and was able to recommend further reading or resources based on my needs and gaps in my own knowledge. As a second time mum I was treated like an experienced birthing woman but also offered gentle reminders about things I may have forgotten about which was a perfect balance. I felt informed and supported to make my own decisions about the care I received.

My second birth was 100% natural vaginal birth with no intervention, just what I hoped for. Tarnee’s advocacy and follow up was beautiful and I felt we could trust in her 100% to help us make decisions about our newborn. There was never any doubt she trusted in my baby and my bodies ability to birth.
Would recommend to my closest friends and everyone I meet.
