This is my first pregnancy, and I never imagined I’d go through something as unexpected as an “incompetent cervix.” At 20 weeks, I needed surgery to place a cervical stitch to help ensure our baby can make it to full term and avoid being born prematurely. It was a daunting experience, but the kindness and support of the medical team made all the difference.
The midwives and doctors were incredibly comforting, knowing just how to ease my worries. Special thanks to the anesthetic team, who stayed upbeat and kept talking to me throughout the procedure, making sure I felt safe and cared for. Dr. Yuan, Dr. Jonathan, Nurse Eric, Nurse Carol, and Nurse Megan even gave me a recovery card, which deeply touched me.
I am so grateful for everything they’ve done. Thank you all for your exceptional care and dedication—well done, and keep up the amazing work!
