In my opinion, any other hospital would be better, this is my last visit to this hospital. Based on my experience, if you have to attend Narrogin and you have babies you need to bring your own sterilising equipment. There seem to be no sterilising equipment or facilities. They were out of disposable bottles. They just expected me to know these things too
I had to have an Emergency nurse come up to the inpatient to help by going into the staff room and using their kettle water. Because a microwave, coffee machine and a milk frother can not feed my baby.
An emergency ward doctor decided to admit me after bringing in my baby, on the basis of mental health. I have my own support workers, my own mental health team. basically, this doctor told me I wasn't safe with my child because of, in my opinion, their own prejudice bias that someone with a mental health diagnosis is an unfit parent.
Paula was lovely and really put the effort in to making patients comfortable. Paula (plus the other wheatbelt nurse who helped and made me a coffee I cant remember her name but hands down lovely!) who came from emergency to see how I was going on the ward and trying to get things happening and getting the boiled water because I didn't want to use the water for irrigation to feed my baby.
It is still the worst experience of my life, child services are now involved and I believe were told inaccurate information by the hospital. The hospital told them I didn't have care of my child from the ages 2-4. the hospital didn't ask me once about my child. The hospital staff also took photos of all of us without permission or our knowledge. There's so much I'm feeling truly defeated because of Narrogin hospital.
