"Ward 5g"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Orthopaedic Surgical & Trauma & Spinal Care Ward 3H/5G

(as a parent/guardian),

I would just like to leave some feedback for the care we received on ward 5g over the last 6 weeks!

We have had incredible care on 5g during what was a traumatic time for our family! The nurse managers were amazing and helpful always checking in. The care my son recieved from the nurses was second to none, every single one always had a smile, always listened to our concerns and always looked after him with care. All the different allied health staff were amazing as well, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologist, even the kitchen staff went above and beyond for Jacob. I really don’t want to leave anyone out by mentioning names but an extra special mention goes to Mae and Georgia who became almost friends, coming to see him even when they weren’t assigned to him. We are leaving today for Fiona Stanley hospital rehab and I didn’t want to leave without giving these amazing people the credit they deserve for what is an extremely hard job and an incredibly busy ward!

Thankyou isn’t enough!

Dear indigosf45

Thank you for sharing your experience from the perspective of a parent with a child admitted to hospital. I understand that your son required a significant admission to Royal Perth Hospital and can only imagine how stressful and exhausting this would have been for you and your family.

It was wonderful to hear that for those 6 weeks your son received incredible care from the amazing multidisciplinary team of dedicated staff on Ward 5G. It will be my pleasure to share your words of gratitude with the several areas you mentioned, including an extra special mention for Mae and Georgia. Your lovely story is one of many received on the Care Opinion platform, which reinforces that staff of the Royal Perth Bentley Group are committed to providing patient and family centred care.

I wish your son all the best for his rehabilitation and recovery and thank you for taking the time to let us know.

Kind regards

Dori Lombardi
