"Renewed hope, cornea research, dry eyes, blurry vision"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I volunteered for study research for dry eyes, being conducted by Sydney University at Sydney Eye Hospital, for I know I have an interesting case, Wegener's disease, psoriatic arthritis and sjogrens, and not much studies and treatment has been done already about these rare auto immune diseases, the research coordinators and doctor didn't stop when the clinical trial had finished . They want to know more about my rare case, so my group of specialists can target the proper medications.

Getting involved in research  study  doesn't only help the researchers but I got a sense of security as well that my rare condition is properly handled.

I became more productive after involving myself with the research study, got less anxious knowing test I am properly assessed, had multiple corneal examinations in 2 months duration, and I am assured there is no rapid deterioration on my sight nor stroke as during the research  study of 3 months, I had thorough assessments by cornea fellow and optometrist, aside from thorough review, I had free health teachings in between, I learnt what among my habit is wrong and also my wrong practice of instilling eye drops.
