"Long waiting times for histology report"

I had 2 biopsies on my nose that came back positive for BCC. I had surgery to remove them and was given a phone appt for 2 weeks later to receive the results as to whether they had removed it all. I have now had 3 phone appts cancelled as my pathology reports are still not back. This is now 5 weeks since, and I am still waiting/worrying. Whilst I understand that the Royal Hobart Hospital have a large backlog in their pathology department, it is cruel making people wait this long . More funding should be given to these departments so that this doesn't happen.
