"My story is about the terrible last night i had in hospital recently"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

(as the patient),

I had been put in a room with three patients of the opposite sex, the patient to my right kept getting out of their bed, swearing using terrible language, well on my last night they once again got out, I was asleep at the time when I heard a noise and they were in my cubicle area touching my things and was stark naked, the nurses got them back to their bed then next thing the patient in the bed opposite me started swearing and yelling got of their bed refusing to go back. They came over to my cubicle pulled the curtains open and stared at me in the widest way still refusing to go back to bed so they called security by this time I was terrified. Security got this patient to bed came in to check on me. I said I was so scared and they offered me a cuppa I couldn't sleep that night. My family all maintain I should not have been put I a room with three patients of the opposite sex.

Dear Mitzi2007,

Please accept my sincere apologies for your experience on your last night at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. I cannot begin to imagine how extremely distressing and terrifying it must have been for you to be placed in a room with patients of the oppose sex who were acting in the manner that you describe, and I apologise that this happened to you.

The experience you describe and distress experienced is not one that we would want for our patients. Please be reassured that we take your feedback very seriously and are working with the team who allocate beds known as patient flow, to ensure that the allocation of patients in shared rooms is made with careful consideration.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Kind regards,

Jodi Graham

Thank you for your reply but I still feel very wary about going back to that hospital unless things change a lot
