"I had my first baby this year"

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in March this year!

I was extremely lucky to have been allocated to the MGP and was taken care of by my amazing midwife Eden!

This was my first baby and I didn’t know what to expect but I cannot believe the amazing care that I received. From my first appointment right through to my discharge the care I received was absolutely amazing! I was made feel safe and comfortable and able to make the decisions that felt right to me!

Eden explained everything to me which allowed me to make theses decisions.

Knowing who I was going to see and when my appointments would take place in advance was so good. Also knowing that someone is on the other end of the phone 24/7 is so reassuring for someone who hadn’t been through this before.

I did end up having a section and Eden’s buddy midwife Rebecca was there for my birth! I am so glad she was there as I had a familiar face there which made me feel comfortable and at ease but she also advocated for me and my baby and the decisions that I wanted to make!

After discharge I had my home visits which really helped with my transition into life at home as a mother.

I believe they care so much for their patients and the relationships they build are so important for this amazing life experience.

I honestly cannot thank them enough and if I am lucky enough to have another baby I will definitely be requesting the MGP!
