"Excellent ED care @ Prince of Wales hospital"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / Emergency Department

Immersive Reader

I was hospitalized unexpectedly recently with all of the anxiety that goes with that. From the first contact with the ED nurse manager, Brett, my time in triage and then into the short stay unit I was treated with great kindness and respect. The nursing staff were very attentive and responded quickly to my needs. Dr Tom was highly expert in clinical skills and also in keeping me informed. There was a health and security officer also named Brett who gave above and beyond with kindness, checking in regularly with me, providing a warm blanket, a cup of tea and a more comfortable chair. This little actions made a huge difference. I appreciate all of the care I received in the ED department, at a time of great stress I was made to feel like a person to be cared for.
