"Care from Genetic Health WA"

We were referred to Genetic Health WA after our daughter was stillborn at King Edward Memorial Hospital following a TMFR at 22+ 1 weeks in May 2024. We have experienced care, compassion, knowledge and kindness from the counsellors and nurses within the Genetic team and Perinatal Pathology Team at PCH.

One stand out was Jill (Genetic Counsellor) who took our call one afternoon after some confusion/follow up questions on our referral and post-mortem results. Jill took the time out to listen, review our file, hear and explain our questions and explain the genetic testing process. In a time of fear, confusion and grief she took her time, showed us so much care and compassion and made us feel reassured, safe and heard. I will always appreciate her time on that call.

We have also had a follow up appointment with Dr Jennie and Lynley who have both been so friendly, compassionate, taken their time to explain our options, answer our questions and follow up with us. They have been approachable, accountable and followed up with us in a timely manner. Thank you to a wonderful team for your knowledge, care, support and kindness during what has been an uncertain, grief riddled and confusing time to navigate. It will always be appreciated.
