"Midwife group practice Bunbury/ Pregnancy"

As part of my third pregnancy journey I was under the care of the MGP program, I was assigned Priscilla and student midwife Jenna also attended several of my appointments and my birth.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this model of care and of these 2 incredible women and practitioners. My entire pregnancy I felt so cared for, my feelings were always validated and my voice was always heard with my wishes constantly put at the forefront of every decision that was made. Every appointment throughout my pregnancy, Priscilla’s extreme amount of knowledge and experience ensured that I was so well cared for and everything tracked smoothly, I am particularly grateful that she was able to suggest that I be prescribed a particular medication which turned out the be an absolute lifesaver for me and again when she went to great lengths to help me get an iron infusion which I so desperately needed but was having trouble getting access to.

Due to the extremely high level of care I received during my pregnancy, I went into the birth of my child feeling so relaxed and knowing that I was in the absolute best of hands. It was so lovely to go into the birth knowing that the people who would be beside me knew both me and my pregnancy journey and my wishes for the birth so well. 

When the time came to give birth, we had, hands down the best experience ever. Being our third child, my husband and I felt we somewhat knew what to expect yet we were absolutely blown away with just how calm, controlled and dare I say enjoyable the whole experience was. We were so grateful that both Priscilla and Jenna were there to guide us through everything, their guidance and advice was excellent at every stage of the labour and we felt like they were there when we needed them but also gave us plenty of space to bring our baby into the world together. During labour I was so well supported and guided ensuring my birth was absolutely perfect and met all my wishes, I have absolutely no doubts that it was so wonderful because of the actions and care that Priscilla and Jenna provided for us. 

Following the birth and the care did not stop there. Having as much follow up care in the post partum period as we did helped to ensure that our baby’s first few weeks earth-side were as smooth and healthy as possible and my recovery post birth was also positive and extremely smooth. 

I have never felt so supported, heard and confident in a pregnancy and labour as I did under the care of Priscilla and Jenna. I will forever be grateful and appreciative of them both for helping us bring our son into the world and for supporting us so incredibly well during all phases of our journey with the program. We entered this program as 2 parents giving birth to our third child and leave feeling so lucky to have had these amazing ladies help guide us through, I have no doubts that because of their extraordinary care everything went as smoothly as it did. In my experience, Priscilla is so incredibly knowledgeable and supportive and puts mothers and their babies first and knows exactly how to ease a worried mums mind, anyone who falls under her care is so extremely lucky. Jenna is so kind, calm and does an amazing job at talking patients through exactly what is happening, she is going to make an amazing midwife who we know will help so many parents in her career. 

Anyone thinking of using the MGP program need not think twice about it, it is hands down the best model of care possible.
