I went in as an emergency patient to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (Emergency Department). I broke a bone in my leg. I was looked after very very well there and I was given a bed for 2 nights.
They helped me with showering. They helped me get on my feet. They put a moon boot on and helped me around the ward walking and getting used to walking with the boot. The meals were beautiful. Staff were very attentive. Everybody on that ward was particularly nice. I think it was ward 56.
I have no gripes at all and was very amazed at after-service I got. Someone came for 4 weeks – somebody for my personal care, somebody to take me shopping, somebody to do the cleaning.
I don’t ever want to go back but if I had to, I’d have no hesitation at all.
