About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Surgical Ward

(as the patient),

I was recently in hospital after a miscarriage and had to have surgery for it.

The nurse who phoned to tell me about me fasting times and admission details was kind and caring, the day ward nurses who cared for me Meg, Tegan  and Paige were kind, understanding and compassionate throughout my stay and made me feel safe and cared for, encouraged and allowed my partner to stay with me before I went to theatre, the lady Pet who pushed me to and from recovery was also friendly and everyone in the theatre was great. I felt the nurses on the ward were very sensitive to my situation, and genuinely cared about me as well as being emotionally supportive. Meg stayed with me in theatre when I got my needle put in as so had said I was worried about that, and the other nurses made sure I was comfortable before I went home in the afternoon.

Thankyou to you for making my bad time a little bit better- your all awesome!

Firstly, can I say how sorry I am for your loss and that your thoughtfulness to reach out and say thank you during such a difficult time is greatly appreciated.

I am so glad to hear about the compassion and care that our staff demonstrated and agree this makes a big difference as a patient.
