About: Karratha Health Campus / Maternity Unit

This was my second pregnancy, first birth I was in a Perth Hospital, I initially felt unsure about staying in Karratha to give birth but I am so happy I did. I think the maternity ward is incredible, and the staff I saw were absolutely beautiful. I knew what was happening the whole time, my needs and wants were listened to and overall I felt the experience I had was 100% better than Perth. My partner was also treated beautifully and he has said the same. The midwives in particular, Liv, Claire and Danni were the best. 

Also the home visit with Lea was amazing, so easy and hassle free. Such caring ladies, they are honestly a credit to the maternity ward.

What a fabulous story to share, many thanks for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Karratha Health Campus maternity services, especially at such a joyful time bringing in a new family member into to the world. I was very pleased to read that you and your partner had such positive experience. Our team are very proud of their role with new parents and understand how important it is to communicate well and ensure they feel heard, particularly at such a precious time. Their collaborative and compassionate approach with you and your partner ensured your experience is one that is cherished and memorable.

I look forward to sharing your story with our maternity and community teams. It’s great to be able to celebrate the great care they provided to you.
