I have just been discharged from SCG Hospital, Ortho/surgical. I am not exaggerating when I say that I received the best care from every single staff member I saw in that hospital. I had Bi-lateral full hip replacements.
Even from the very start of the Outpatient appointments prior to my procedure, I felt I was in safe hands always and listened to. Some of the patients waiting to be seen were finding the wait very challenging, but all the staff I saw handled the patients frustrations politely and professionally.
Of course the day of my operation I was a little bit nervous, and 500+ kilometres away from my home added to my little bit of anxiety. The staff instantly had me feeling relaxed, and that I was in great hands.
The teamwork I saw at SCGH is outstanding, and by that I mean, at all times. The staff communication was such a positive aspect of it all. To me, this shows that staff morale is high and that every employee actually loves their job. The food was beautiful also. It has honestly helped so much for my recovery being so well cared for.
With all respect I hope I don't have to be admitted again in the near future, but if I was, I would hope that it would be at 'Charlies'.
Thank you and kindest regards to each and every one of you at SCG Hospital.
