"Acl reconstruction and feeling pressured to leave"

About: Kilmore District Hospital / Inpatient Services

(as the patient),

I would never like to return to kilmore district health and would rather die than be treated there.

In my opinion, the doctor was extremely rude with a very disgusting attitude, some of the nurses were ok and considerate but others were extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable, this is was because they gave me the feel that i need to get out even though i was not feeling the best.

I had an argument with one of the nurses for over 10 minutes trying to explain to them that I don’t feel comfortable in leaving as i am not prepared and I recall they would just look at the nurse and start laughing together. I found this very rude and throughout the whole argument i believe i did not for one second say something that was disrespectful to them or anyone else around. This is because i would never want anyone to be rude or give attitude towards my mother if she was ever a nurse,

After all they raised my blood pressure after the argument and did not make me feel comfortable at all, and i just couldn’t bear sitting there and having to see them or talk to them for the remaining part of the stay, it almost felt like the nurse and the doctor were paying for my holidays in a hotel. This is what made my decision to leave and not because i was either ready or comfortable to leave, I recall one of the nurses even said, Gosh these kids in this generation, whilst talking to other nurse and laughing in what I felt was a mocking tone. This made me feel so uncomfortable and angry because there is no way anyone is ok with that sort of behaviour regardless of there health to be spoken to in this way.

I have been to another hospital a few years ago and felt they were far better than Kilmore district hospital, I hope that anyone else that does go here is treated a lot better than i have because it’s a shame to see how difficult and painful I felt they made things for me.
