I attended the day program at lives lived well Mackay in May of this year (2024), after multiple family members recommended the service to me. I was very hesitant and did not think the service would suit me or would be able to help me in my situation. How ever when I arrived, I found that the staff were very friendly, helpful and non-judgemental. Their understanding of my addictions and the pain that it has caused me was surprisingly helpful. The environment of the day program is inclusive, welcoming, and wholesome. It gives you a good reason to get out of the house and feel like you are making steps towards a healthier and happier lifestyle while still maintaining your values.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We've had such great feedback on many of our Day Programs and they seem to really suit people who have home/ life commitments, or don't want to attend a residential facility.

It's great to read that you found the space welcoming and the staff supportive and knowledgeable. We believe that with the right tools, people can change their lives - and it sounds like you are working towards that goal.
