(as a parent/guardian),

We took my son to PCH ED 1 different nights recently night due to him being seriously unwell. Of course me and my partner were anxious and concerned.

Not only did the staff reassure us, they took our concerns seriously and treated my son in an effective and timely manner. They were direct with all communication and explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand.

He was seen quickly and tests were done as soon as possible. We had answers very quickly and were on our way home with a poor little guy with RSV! The way the staff treated us was above any care I have experienced in any hospital and I am still in awe with how amazing that ED team is!

The knowledge, experience and friendliness of the team made our experience so pleasant, given it wasn’t a pleasant time for my little one. It is really a nice feeling having full confidence in our medical and nursing teams at our children’s hospital.

I was delighted to read your lovely comments about the excellent care that you received and to know that you had full confidence in the medical and nursing teams. I have shared your feedback with the teams, and it has given them a huge boost!

I can understand the anxiety that parents feel when bringing an unwell child into hospital and I was pleased to know that the team listened to your concerns and reassured you about your son’s care.

We really appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge the amazing teams in the ED.
