"Maternity Care at Northam Health Service"

About: Northam Health Service

(as the patient),

Last year I gave birth to my 3rd baby at Northam Health Service through the MGP Program. My midwife was Marguerite and the doctor I saw was Dr Susan. I also had postnatal care from other midwives from the Northam MGP team.

The care I received from these ladies was outstanding and my birth experience was incredible. All of my choices were respected and I never felt pressured. These ladies ensured I was fully informed about what decisions I had available to me, and I at all times felt like I was supported. I'm almost tempted to have a 4th baby just so I can go back and see these ladies again!

After my previous experiences receiving maternity care via the private and public systems in the Perth Metro area, I can safely say that the care offered at Northam Health Service is the BEST that I have had. The Northam midwives continued to check on me for 6 weeks following the birth of my son. I am incredibly grateful to the Northam MGP team. They made my pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience one which I can look back on positively. Thank you!

Hello uniformjs78

Congratulations on the birth of your little one and thank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback about the Midwifery Group Practice team based at Northam Health Service.

The team strive to offer the care you described, empowering, and supporting women from as soon as they find out they are pregnant through to when baby is 6 weeks old, so it is heart-warming to hear that this was achieved.

I will pass on your thanks to the team, particularly Marguerite and Dr Susan and should you decide to add to your family in the future the team will be privileged to support you again!

Thank you again, best wishes
