"Nanna's breast cancer removal"

About: Sale Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as a relative),

Nan went into the day surgery unit via imaging to have a cancer removed from her breast. I am a registered nurse myself and I was absolutely blown away by every single healthcare professional we encountered throughout her journey. They went above and beyond, went out of their way to make sure we were okay, even just as little as my Aunty being in the corridors looking for something and having 4 different nurses ask if she needed help with anything. I take my hats off to you guys and keep up the amazing work!

My name is Mauricio. I am the perioperative services manager for Day Procedure.

I wish to thank you for your feedback on how you and your Nan felt about the experience of having your procedure here at Central Gippsland Health.

We strive to ensure that every patient and support person's surgical journey is a positive one. I am also happy to read that you experienced support from staff in other areas of the Hospital.

We take pride in being able to serve our community and reading your response, of which I will share with staff, reinforces the positive impact that positive gestures can have on patients and their support person during this time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your day procedure and surgical experience.

Kind regards,

Mauricio
