"Care at Albany Hospital"

About: Albany Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My elderly relative who lives alone became unwell. I organised for him to be taken into the ED. He was treated really well. His doctors liaised with me. He was admitted and treated with respect, kindness and competence. Everyone from nursing, medical, allied health, domestic, patient support staff, admin etc etc worked well together to provide exceptional care. I am grateful and would like my thanks passed on.

Dear GratefulToday

Thank you for your kind words and for going out of your way to share your experience.

It is important to us at Albany Hospital that everyone who comes through our doors is, as you say, treated with respect, kindness and competence. More than that, we work to include our patients and families in care decisions where we can and we recognise that it takes a team to deliver good, coordinated care. Your story highlights this and reinforces to us that the value of those efforts is being felt by our community.

We have shared your feedback with the Hospital’s leadership team and the heads of the areas you mentioned so that staff can see how their efforts are appreciated.

We hope your elderly relative is home now and independent once again, and that you are doing well.

Best wishes

Wendy McKinley | Director Albany Health Campus
