I suffered a cerebral haemorrhage in 2018 which caused me to have a stroke and I have had a number of issues since then, a main issue is pain in my neck and head. I believe the neurosurgical team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital have been unbelievably unhelpful during my recovery. From my time spent in the ICU right up to now, 6 years later!
Fast forward 6 years and I’m still in pain and of course in my experience no one in that awful hospital listens or cares for that matter. The last appt I had with the neurosurgeon about my pain, they said some people have pain, some people don’t. Unfortunately you have pain. You’ll get used to it.
I’ve tried to take my life a number of times due to this pain. I will never get “used to it” and I feel I would rather die than step foot in that hospital ever again.
