"Midwife Program Margaret River"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Maternity Department

(as the patient),

I had the support of the Margaret River Hospital midwife program during my pregnancy in 2024. I found the midwives I met were kind, knowledgeable and available to answer any questions. During my pregnancy I required weekly ECG monitoring for a month, they were able to fit in with my availability and make the tests go as quickly as possible. After my baby was born they messaged me throughout the night on a weekend in relation to concerns I had for my baby and were calming and helpful. I did not give birth at Margaret River hospital (I had private health so birthed elsewhere) but I believe I received committed care even though they knew they wouldn't be there on the big day. A special thanks to Melony and Denise.

Dear aquilajz49,

Thankyou for your feedback about the care you received from Margaret River MGP, and in particular Melony and Denise.

For women that are birthing somewhere other than Margaret River, we know that travel to appointments can be a lot to fit into life, particularly when you need extra appointments such as you experienced. We are so glad we were able to share some care with your private Obstetrician/GP-Obstetrician antenatally and postnatally so that you had care that suited you, and that you felt well supported.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and we wish you and your family all the best going forward.

Warm regards,
Amy Gumbrell
