"Facilities for elderly persons to sit and wait at front of hospital"

About: Broome Health Campus

(as a relative),

Needed my elderly parent to wait at the entrance of the Broome hospital while I picked up the car to drive closer to them as they cannot walk far.  The seating facilities are a walk across the driveway and there is a large curb to step over to get to the seats.  There is rubbish and cigarettes butts everywhere and Reticulation pipes in front of the seats.  It is very difficult for my parent to step over the curb and the reticulation pipes to sit down.  There are no seats by the entrance for them to wait.  Seating was previously provided but it has been moved to this new location.  Can some seating please be located at the entrance. Thanks

Dear Local 1,

Absolutely, we will get the seat moved across to the entrance side, have just implemented this today. Our maintenance department will enact the move across by the end of the week. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and was done previously due to COVID pathways into the hospital, which have now been changed.
